Aramark Sidebyside, were delighted to support St Patricks Day parade in Houslow Barracks. A wonderful occasion for the site to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and join the festivities around St Patricks Day.
Across 4 different locations the team served 1400 meals. In the Officers Mess our team crafted aa three course sit down lunch of Hog Roast Pork and Apple terrine with Roast beetroot and Riquitto pepper sauce, Roast Duck Breast served with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Baby Leeks & Carrots, Parsnip Puree and Cherry Jus and Chocolate & Hazelnut Pyramid Cheesecake with fresh Berries.
The Sergeants enjoyed a BBQ lunch and, in the evening, a generous helping of Irish Stew was called for. We are reliably informed that informed that the stew was instrumental in alleviating the effects of the Guinness that was consumed.
Domhnall, the Battalion’s mascot – A rather gorgeous Irish Wolf Hound is retiring later this year and he enjoyed his last St Patricks Day parade event by greeting the Duchess of Cambridge. This will also be the last St Patricks Day parade that will be held in Cavalry Barracks
