When we ask you to imagine military catering, what do you think of? Institutional catering? Long lines of counters with food served like school dinners? Think again! At ADS, we focus on “bringing the high street within the wire” and are “driven by the person, not the uniform”.

A MESS HALL WITH A DIFFERENCE

We developed our food offers for our military customers starting with a blank sheet of paper. Then we asked them what they wanted, we read reports, we talked to our suppliers and we assembled a portfolio of brands, some well-known from the high street and some created ourselves to specifically meet the nutritional and diversity requirements of the modern armed forces.

Eatery is our Food Court concept designed for Junior Ranks/Rates. It introduces urban, industrial styling and bold bright colours to brighten up the often cold and cavernous nature of the mess hall! Eatery features a range of Pop Up concepts so, as well as enjoying a great value and nutritionally balanced Core menu every day, customers can chose from a range of daily specials reflecting all the most popular high street offers from fresh cooked pizza to Indian Paratha Bars and our Honest 12+ item salad bar.

From fine dining for VIP’s to hundreds of hot dogs on a parade ground, our food is very heart of our company. Find out more about our offers and the team who deliver it.

A THREE TIER APPROACH

We signed up to the MOD’s Core Charter which guarantees quality and value to entitled personnel as well as the nutritional values prescribed by the INM. We also asked our customers what they wanted and they suggested: “the ability to pay a bit more to go large or add sides and sauces” and so we developed our three tier approach: Core, Select and High Street.

Every 6 months we launch not only a new seasonal Core menu cycle but a new range of dishes as part of our retail concepts. There is always something new to look forward to! We work with selected high street brands as and where it is appropriate to introduce them and our partners include both Subway and Papa Johns.

Our customers told us they would most like to see an all-day café bar facility on site so we developed our Barrel and Bean brand. This offer is designed to take you all the way from breakfast and coffee in the morning through to drinks in the evening with great meals and snack in between.
